I woke up early the next morning happier than I'd ever been in my entire life. For once I'd actually slept the night in a real, honest-to-goodness bed. That I was in the arms of my lover - the alpha father of my unborn babies even - made it just that much better.

My belly was full, my heart was even fuller and for once my back didn't hurt. Now this really WAS heaven!

I crawled out of bed bright and early, carefully extricating myself from Ralph's long, strong arms. As I slipped out of his grasp, I turned around and studied him in the soft, morning light.

His bare, muscular chest rose and fell evenly with each breath. His angular, furry face looked so peaceful as he lay there unaware that I was watching him. My loins ached and my ass became slick again just looking at him. I could not believe that this strong lion of a man was my fated.

He saved my life.

And for that, I would be forever grateful.

Tearing myself away from the handsome prize, I padded into the kitchen to see what I could whip up. Sure, I'd never cooked before, but there was always a first! And I wanted to whip something special up for my lover - the father of my babies. He deserved it.

First, though, I wanted to take a gander around his house. He said he wasn't rich and I believed him. But as my only point of reference was the streets, this was a mansion.

He had three - three! - bedrooms, one of them a computer room, a kitchen AND a dining room. Not to mention a living room the size of a small house. Not only that, but he had two bathrooms! How many did you need? Was there seriously a line outside each restroom that you had to have more than one?

I shook my head at the opulence of it all.

There were more gadgets than I could shake my tail at. Some I even knew what they were for.

Believe it or not, I actually got lost and frantically had to backtrack. This was insane!

But enough sightseeing, Ralph would surely be popping out of bed soon and I needed to get breakfast going if I wanted to make this happen.

Hmm...let's see. Eggs, beef, carrots, bread, cereal, ham, cheese…My mouth watered as I rummaged through his fridge and cabinets. I had never seen this much food outside of a market in my entire life. How on earth could one person eat all this? Then again, he WAS a werelion.

My tummy growled as I got completely lost in all the food. I had no idea what to make. There was too much! And my cooking skills were practically nothing.

What was that? I twitched my whiskers and flicked my tail and turned in the direction of the noise.

There it was again!

I swiveled my ears toward the sound as my tiny heart thundered viciously in my chest.

It was a roar!

Wait, was Ralph awake? I heard it again.
